Wampler plexi drive deluxe vs Carl martin plexitone ??

which one is better sounding ?

which one has more gain ??

please let me know your opinion

thanx in advance

I have both Plexitone in mxr box sounds good but too noisy for me. Like the Wampler better
better more versatile in terms of tweak and
no noise.

Test them both as everyone is using different
setups and have their own view on tone

thanx ! wich one has more gain?

I had a two button Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe and still own the three button Plexitone.
Pinnacle is a modded Brown Sound take so there was much more gain but really they
each had their pluses. I think the CM was more articulate in string separation and cleaned up
better with the guitar pot. The Wampler was much hotter and compressed than the CM. Each
definitely had a spot on my board. The three button Plexitone was far more versatile for my
own application though.
BTW I recently bought a BE OD and thought it was better than both.
It seems like a combination of the two mentioned pedals.
Tons of gain on tap but remains articulate and not so compressed as the Wampler.
So many great pedal choices these days.

I think the Wampler had more gain to me and it make sense given the tone stack tuning knobs.
Do not know much about that other larger plexidrive that others rave about since I never owned
one, maybe its better in that department but 18V and not as pedalboard friendly.

Again my comments are around the 1 button switch unit (yellow) and not the larger purple one.
