did you by any chance record your SLP on youtube with an explorer then remove the vid?

sorry for asking, my fav cameron was an ocean modded SLP :)

just cant find it anymore on youtube.

I remember that one, sounded good, unlike some /Marshall/Cameron vids. Ocean mod is killer!

i have no idea who that was im still trying to find out who owned that plexi modded with one of the first ocean mods

it was in a basement. low volume. accent lighting. and the guy was tearing the absolute fuck out of a cabinet with that amplifier.

it was brutal, saturated, and just pure awsome. he said inthe video description that it was a new thing he did for him, named after him as well and called "the ocean mod"

hence what he did afterwards.

i would easily pay $6000 for that tone if i had the cash. i havent found a single cameron to this day that beats THAT tone except 3 years of engineering on my 5150II which comes close, but is still in no ballpark.

I never saw the vid but I thought Doug Aldrich named the Ocean mod. The story I recall is that Mark presented Doug with a new mod he had done and Doug said it "sounds like the ocean crashing down around you". Hence the name...

No the Aldrich mod was originally called the Norum mod, as he was the guy who was using it first. Then when Doug started using that mod, people started calling it the Aldrich mod.

Im pretty sure thats what i found out from Mark!

As far as the Ocean mod goes, Randy is right :yes:
 
I'll bump this and add that I'd also be interested in an Aldrich. I just got a Jose and I can't believe how awesome it is. I may just sell all my other amps to get another Cameron.
