Wanted - Ceriatone Molecular

I have not owned a Yeti or Chupa. The best way I can explain the Molecular is like a hot rodded JCM that is well balanced. It has a percussive feel to it. It's not as saturated as the Leviathan I had which is neither good or bad. To me its a damn good rock or thrash amp. The guy I ended up selling it to a doom guy and he messaged me back how much he loved it the next day which never happens. @Bad.Seed or @bubbastain can tell you how they compare. I will say the effects loop isnt the standard insert loop.
 
I have been looking for a molecular or chupa as well, interested to hear any comparisons
 
I would have Nik build a chupa to molecular specs so you have the added gain, 3 way bright switch and feel switch that are adjustable. I’d have him build it with no iron and install some MM transformers on it.

The chupa spec is more dirty, gainier, darker, and more compressed. The gain just sounds nasty in a good way. The molecular is more classic modded, hot rodded Marshall, that is cleaner, brighter and more open.
 
I honestly have no issues with Ceriatone iron. I had a ceriatone 2204 that I got without the transformers and I put Classictone in it and had Monomyth mod it during the same time I had the Molecular. I was able to compare the 2204 vs the Molecular before the 2204 was modded. I could dial both in where they sounded the same. Both were plenty loud but the molecular transformers are freaking 3x heavier than the classictone. I guess way back when they had issues with their iron Nik had them over engineer the transformers. Although shipping savings and time would be worth it. I spoke with Nik earlier this week and he said their wait time is 32 weeks and you only have to put 1/3 down.
 
Yeah, the Molecular is a very cool amp. I really liked mine while I had it.

Maybe international shipping is different, but weight domestically has very little to do with cost of shipping. Total dimension is primarily what determines rates. I got a quote to ship and empty 412 box to a seller and it would have been $250 because of dimension. Same empty box folded as flat as you could make it was like $50 to the same destination.

I'm not sure I think honestly they have ranges like 1lb to 5lbs in the same box might cost the same but 10 lbs in the same box would bit on a different tier. I could very well be wrong but I seem to remember getting out pretty cheap without the iron and headshell for the 2204. I think it was $750.

Oh and after all this ceriatone talk I ordered another 2204 without tubes and headshell. I had to pay $337 down then 2 more payments of $337. 32-40 week turnaround. With my Skeleton Key I have high gain Marshall covered but I wanted something I could play relatively clean and slap a fuzz or rat on
