Warehouse ET65

Has anyone tried the ET65's with their Mod 50? If so how did it sound?
 
Not with the MOD50, but with a Renegade, and was pretty impressed.

I think Eric may have tried them either with his MOD50 or M4 rig.
 
I currently have one loaded up in a TM2X12 mixed with an E80 but have also had it loaded in a RM50 combo. I really like it and would buy another. FWIW.
 
It's a pretty rockin' speaker for sure, but not sure how much chime you would get for your style Wags. It's got a bit of a rounded top, so that would almost be a matter of you pluggin it in and tryin' it out. Although they are not very expensive so you could pick up a used one, try it and flip it if you don't care for it. I thought it was a pretty darn good speaker though.
 
I use one with my Egnater/Randall 100 watt Lynchbox head...similar to the mod 50, and It's a great sounding speaker...I pair it up with a Lynch Super V!
Also sounds great with a Tourmaster
 
Thanks guys. I traded a friend a pair of GB's for the ET65's. I'll give them a try and see how they sound.

I swapped out the Elite 80's for the ET65's. 1st thing I noticed was less midrange and bass. I thought the ET65 had a lot of bass. So far I like the ET65's better than the E80's for the BF tones. The 80's are a little bumped in the mids for me. I like them with the VX and SL but not as much with the T/D and T/T.
 
give the speakers time to break in...they will change tonally...
 
I like the ET65's better than the E80's. I may try some Scumback M75's down the road but so far I'm very happy with the ET65's.
 
Cool man, great to hear. If you do try some scummy M's, make sure to try an H type as well......may be a tad better suited for your cleaner style. Little more chime on the top end. I love my mix of M/H in my 212.
 
I have a Scumback H75 30 watt speaker. I don't think it sounds all that special. I'll have to try the M75 someday. The ET65's are sounding really good to me so I really shouldn't fix it if it ain't broke but you know how that goes :lol: :LOL:

What are you using the H75 30w with, out of curiosity? I'm wondering if you have the right speaker for the amp/cab/guitar rig.

Sorry if I sounded a little harsh. The H75 was paired with a GB. I heard a friends 4x12 cab loaded with H75 and M75 in a X pattern that sounded nice. I was using it in a 2x12 with a Mod50 and AC30.

No worries on the harshness, I'm more about "What doesn't work with what?", OK? :)

What 2x12? Also, a Mod 50, isn't that a 50w amp? It's going to push the H75 and GB (current issue G12M?) pretty hard and make it sound ratty if you had the amp volume over 3-4. Really need to have the 65w model with a 50w amp. The AC 30 amp really is more of an Alnico based amp circuit, IMO.
 
I have a ET65 and a Vetran 30 in a 2x12 (mojo tone looks like a mini marshall 4x12) with the ET65 in the upper diagonal spot. Did this per suggestion of Warehouse speakers. I like it better than the V30xV30, V30xCL80, V30xGB, V30xHellatone30 that I have tried in that cab. Darker for sure but MOD50 presence knob tweak has solved that. I have not tried the M75 yet but when the cash comes in I am gonna have too :)
