Warmoth score!

Traded in a guitar I had several months back for some credit at a local shop. Well, these parts popped up for next to nothing and I had to jump. Left with a Warmoth body and neck.

Neck has Gotohs by the look of it and I think the bridge on the body is as well.

Was able to score a set of GFS Humbucker sized P90s.

Will get together with a buddy this weekend and do some neck swapping.

I like the way the new neck looks on my other tele body and vice versa.

Moss green ash (?) tele body HH

Neck is flamed and Birdseye maple with a thick slab of rosewood and abalone inlays.

Not pictured is the black TUSQ Nut that came preinstalled and appears to be the proper height and cut for standard strings from my visual inspection.

Both marked and are for sure Warmoth.

Did not expect to make out like a bandit with that little bit of store credit!

Added some pics of the board and abalone up close. Really stoked about this.

I went from having zero teles to:

1 - Parting one up. (The natural colored one)

2 - Just got parts for another here.

3 - I have parts I got super cheap for a Tele-bird build.

4 - A friend who I have done a lot of music work for free, etc just sent me a Harley Benton TEQM-90 that is about to arrive ...

Wowzers. That happened fast. At least within several years is fast to me!

Wow what a score! I could be blind here but where is the abalone? Is it the fret dots on the fretboard of the darker neck?
Yes, the darker neck inlays are abalone. Sorry for the frantic post LMAO I'll get a pic of them up close. I bet the board will shine after unclean it, kinda dusty.

I have a Warmoth neck a friend and I bought in 1986 for a guitar project we never finished. It's never been installed. Yet. I'll get around to it. Lol

I have a buddy who is offering to help me with putting it all together or it may take me that long as well....

Warmoth makes a great neck. That rosewood looks awesome. Dark like a chocolate birthday cake. Very nice score!
By the way, I recently seen a post about Warmoth fretless neck with those thin woden fret marks, and “frets” 8 to 13 were off. I hope their fretted necks come withouth such flaws.

About ten years ago I special ordered a heavy birdseye jazzmaster total vintage neck for a strat build. It was a damn nice neck but it was about a four month wait. Warmoth customer service was great though.

'86? This is pre-Canyon Road. You buy it at Ken Warmoth's house?
Pretty sure it was 86. I made a guitar body in 9th grade woodshop. Pretty sure he ordered it not too long after. We were in San Diego when he ordered it. I imagine he just called the number from their ad in one of the magazines.
