I am looking to finalize a deal on a Warrior guitar. Anyone here have any experience with them?? I think it looks like a very slick guitar, but I have never played one, or seen one outside of pics. There also doesn't seem to be a ton of info about them.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

They are pretty solid guitars, they are a bit thin and smaller for my tastes, not necessarily their scale but just in general they aren't a real big guitar in my opinion. I played some of the Rick Derringer sig models and they are really nice guitars, but I've also played the one they did for a sam ash special and it sucked major hole... so just like any other company, some are good some are better than others and some kind of blow, but if you don't mind a smaller/thinner/ body kind of feel then warriors in general are pretty good axes.

Here is a pic of the sexy beast

i agree they feel a little on the petite side.

kinda like an ibanez sabre.

hand made
beautiful.

very expensive.

at the end of the day i went with a tom anderson instead.

I played one in Nashville last year and it looked like a PRS but sounded awesome in my opinion. Loved the tone and the wood. I was looking into them a while back about sponsorship but they are too pricey.

Cool, I hope that this one is not a Sam Ash models. I do like the slightly smaller guitar bodies, and since smaller usually means lighter that is good news for my shoulder.

I never heard of them until i saw a band called G.S. Megaphone use them. Very nice but pricey.

I'd rather have an EB Petrucci though.

What i have gets me through the gigs any way...

Some of them are very good. In their high end guitars, they build for looks first, tone second. I've found a couple that had looks and tone, but they're in the "try before you buy" category for me.

I have seen the high prices for them, the one that I have a trade pending on is a great deal...$450 + my Juggernaut. Seems like a great deal to me, and the guitar looks super sweet!!!!

Warrior guitars have a terrible resale value .. worse than Carvin's .

That may not matter to you , but it's something to consider .

I am a used gear junkie, I just picked up a Carvin C66 with SS frets, and a floyd for $485 + shipping

The Warior that I am looking at is basically going to cost me $1600 ($1200 trade + $400 cash)

I usually get good deals on gear, then break even when I decide to upgrade, or change something.

liked the look and all of the guitars I saw, didn't care for some of the names they gave them.

Thanks for all the info. I am going to pull the trigger this weekend. I will be a bit sad to see the Gutierrez go, but that Warrior looks like it needs a good home, and some Afwayus

I'm curious to now how your move goes on tis, so please keep us informed. (with pix!!)

I've been fantasizing about one of these since seeng a metallic silver one a couple years back. Someone on this board bought one just like it last year and posted a bunch of sexy pix......but then tried selling it 6 months later. (don't remember his reason).

I love, love, love their unique vibe.....so let us now how it goes........

I think I remember the serious painfull gas from seeing that guitar. It had sword inlays, and if I recall right some LEDs as well. Very slick. I am a total guitar geek so I will be posting pics, and a review etc
