Went all year without really buying anything due to this crappy economy, and then...

Bam! In the last month or so I've picked up a Charvel Pro Mod Chameleon (local GC deal), a Peavey Tubefex rackmount tube preamp (Ebay), a mint Carvin TS100 power amp (Ebay), an old school Bogner Ecstasy head (TGP) and took a road trip to OKC last weekend to pick up a Mesa Roadster head and Roland GP100 rackmount preamp in person. Thankfully, all this was basically a wash from a "money in, money out" standpoint because I had recently sold some gear that had been sitting forever and wasn't using. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had the opportunity.

I'm never one to say that my GAS is cured, but I can't really think of anything that I really want right now. Other, than possibly picking up another DeLisle amp switcher. I had an 8x8 Deluxe that I sold a while back, when I got down to about three heads and now I wish I had kept it.

That's bad ass, man. Heck of a lot of gear to buy in a short time in a one-month time period.

Yeah, definitely should have held on to the switcher, in hindsight.

Yeah, for sure, and not something I would normally do but fortunately I was able to sell some stuff and had the cash on hand, so I kind of saw it as a "trade". I was able to move some stuff I wasn't really using (2 PRS Core guitars, my Fryette PS2A, MaxiMatcher, etc..) and score some stuff that I'd been on the hunt for like that Ecstasy and a good tube power amp for the rack stuff. I'd been looking for an old school Bogner Ecstasy (with the symbols for the serial and MM transformers) for a while and it just happened to show up when I had the money from those sales sitting here. That was lucky for me, and really good timing.

I'm thinking of going with the DeLisle 7x7 this time around, and since I no longer have the PS2A I've got an email into DeLisle right now to see if they can convert the attenuator in/out into an effects loop instead. Several of those heads don't have any type of reverb, so it would be nice to be able to use that Quadraverb in the rack to run a global reverb/delay for them.
 
The US by far has had the best post Covid economy in the world.

I'm in the same situation; sold a few things recently and am now in the middle of a spending spree lol......

Nice! Although my wife has never once complained (at least in front of me) about any of my gear buying, the "in/out" mindset it's kind of how I justify it these days. I've decided that if something comes in, something probably needs to go out. That being said, I found a good deal locally on a Mesa OS 4x12 yesterday, and I'm trying to get that picked up today. I really need to stop. :ROFLMAO:

I thought I was done....have my fav amp and 2 guitars....everything else is 'expendable' so to speak. Then, my daily driver went down, I have a newer Camaro SS...not much of a winter car so here comes another expense..sold an amp, guitar and a cab and found an old Rav 4 for cheap...got some $$ left over. Found an 81 2204 for 1700, and an old Sound City PA head for cheap with Partridge transformers, Mustards etc...gonna try to mod it a little.
Still have a little left over but might actually NOT spend it lol

Ditto as I've found some absolutely fantastic prices on a couple Mesa's the past few months. 6 or 7 that is. 🤟😂 🤟

What little I've used it, which was basically just to test it once it arrived, it didn't seem too bad. I plugged the MP-1 into it for about 5 minutes and tested that it worked both bridged and in stereo. As I recall there wasn't any noise that I remember but I didn't really crank it. I just got everything moved into the amp rack and out of my rack case late this past week but don't have any of it hooked up yet. We've got a wedding to go to this afternoon, and I'm hoping to try to do that tomorrow if I get time.

Yeah the Mesa rectifiers are really taking a beating right now in the used market. I've seen several dual recs for right around a thousand near me lately.
