Just got the Wessex and it's a fantastic overdrive to add gain, and shape my sound before my MV45.
i have a few overdrives that are really excellent ( BB preamp, Shiba Drive ) but the wessex can be fat and sparkly, deep and warm, very musical, with some incredible efficient controls ( reminds le the EQ of the fish preamp )
Design and finish are absolutely perfect. My fave since I got it. And I am very difficult with overdrives ( with vibes too )
I did not choose to play it on a clean sound because I just don't use it like that. what I need is going from "gain" to " More gain " but it has to stay warm, once again musical, and never agressive ( Morgan amps are fantastic for that )
Hope you guys will like the pedal as mush as I do. I did not tweak the controls to extreme settinge...they are so efficient that moving the knob just a little bit gives instant response.
