Anybody using any warehouse guitar speakers? I'm thinking of getting some Vet 30's. Wondering what y'all think of WGS in general. I'm thinking WGS cause they claim to have a broke in feel and tone even tho they're brand new.

They're solid quality speakers. Definitely have their own thing going on, but they are bang for the buck. I have a Vet30/HM75 X in a Voodoo Amp 4x12, sounds good to me.

Really good speakers. The Veteran 30 sounds like a Celestion 75. I have one and like it alot.

Sound like 75's? Aren't they suppose to be similar to vintage 30's? I was thinking of mixing them with a pair a G12-65's I have.

I use WGS speakers, great value and great sounding speakers. I haven't found any of their's that I don't like!

WGS states they are like V30's with smoothed out upper mids.

The 12” Veteran 30™ speaker from WGS is tonally superior to Celestion's™ Vintage 30™ speaker. The tonal improvement is in the upper-mids. The Veteran 30™ speaker has smoothed out the upper-mid "spike" notorious in the Vintage 30™ speaker.

Saying superior is opinionated, but I agree with the fact that they are great speakers. And much less $$$$

ive got 2 et65 and 2 reapers in a X pattern and they sound great..

Nope. Even made a video. In my opinion they sound very different.

WoW. Thanks Fluff! 2 Vet 30's are on the way.

Was the cab loaded with all Vets and all Vintages? Or was it mixed and recorded by mic?

I have two Vet30's paired with 2 V30's in the same cab.
They are great speakers. My view is that the Vet30's are darker and smoother than the V30's. Seemingly beefier lows too.

Interesting video, Kind of fits the description of similar but "spikey mids" to me.

It os almost as if they took the mids away a little too much, maybe even a little high end.

Id be curious to hear the other guys cab with 2 v30 and 2 wgs...I would imagine a perfect blend.

But shit...Now I have to open up my cab again to see what I have....Its been so long I cant remember if my 75's are wgs or if it was the 30's...Damn it I cant go around having 3 different speaker sounds in my 4x12 although it does crush.

Yeah, the Vet30's are fairly relaxed in the high mids and high end cut compared to V30's.
My cab is a straight oversize, so I wanted/needed to hear the mid and treble cut from the V30's so those are in the top. The smoother, beefier Vet30's are in the bottom.

The WGS Retro 30's are the bomb. They have more top end and bass than the Veteran 30's. Also tighter and clearer, better for more modern sounding voicing.

Yeah, I have a pair of these too. I like them better than the Vet30's actually.

Another vote for the Retro 30's. Currently my favorite speaker. I also have the WGS Invader and a WGS Reaper 55hz. Great speakers for the $$.

I've currently got 2 ET-65's mixed with 2 V30's in my Marshall cab. Great mix. I had 4 Vet30's in there before, but I prefer the real V30's so I mixed in the 65's to have a little of the smoother G12 sound to soften the V30 bite.

I love that mix. I also have a cab mixed like that

I use the Veteran 30's. I have paired them with Vintage 30's and also tried the Reaper 50's, but now I use the Veteran 30's in my 4 X 12" cabinets.

I completely agree. I had a quad of Vet30's in my Bogner cab, but I missed the bite of V30's. Swapped two Vets out for two V30's and I dig the sound a lot more.
