You mean like who will be thought of like Fender or Gibson in a couple of decades from now?
I'm gonna guess the ones made out of wood 😅
I dunno, despite the hate and mostly import nature, I feel like Strandberg will probably be up there.
I can't think of a lot of other big names that have popped up this millennium, at the moment.

Like AC/DC and GNR . Metallica . Led Zep . Shit even Slipknot is there fr . So , post 2000 who would ok the way to that

John Mayer
Taylor Swift
My Chemical Romance
Lady Gaga
Bruno Mars
Beyoncé
Rhianna

Go back a couple years:
Blink 182
Slipknot
Limp bizkit

All of these will be selling arenas till they decide to hang it up

I’m talking real bands . Must be a band . No pop artist . They didn’t just get popular from music . Got to be a meaningful band . So I will agree with MCR . They started as regular dudes .

I’m not even sure what the definition of a “legacy” band would be, other than many many years at the top. Is a band like killswitch a “legacy” band even though they aren’t mainstream like a guns or ac/dc at this point?? Periphery?

Literally no one has listed a band that was formed after 2000, lmfao

Ya . See that’s the point . None Jane made it that big . But what band has a chance ? The legacy bands are ACDC ZEP GNR SABBATH ,Aerosmith. Metallica . So far I think Slipknotis the last ones .

Well if their first release is post 2000 it counts

Not really, it just seems like an arbitrary line that doesnt make a ton of sense, because there WONT be any new legacy bands - the streaming market model means music is completely worthless and no one's music is important.

Which is why everyone is listing either pop stars who's only legacy is looking fuckable and rock bands that formed before the streaming market model became a thing

Idk . If we can’t find any we can’t . But they should have the first album released post 2000

A Day to Remember
Bring me the Horizon
Killswitch Engage
Periphery
Sleep Token

Just a handful that I can think of that are post-2000 and have strong following
Bring me the horizon might have a shot but the others have went back to their natural state of big following but idk

That’s fair but look at the shows ADTR is putting on. They are at the top of their game as far as ticket sales and overall production standpoint.

The other bands besides BMTH are kinda just doing what they please. KSE is one of the biggest bands ever in their genre but they do what they want, as they want. Periphery as well. Those guys can tour 1 time a year but sell it out back to back nights in big cities and again, so as they wish.
