I like the standard EH in my SL, I think it sounds perfect.

EG5 - I like a Ruby 12ax7a in V1 and Chinese 12ax7a in V2
Vox - TungSol 12ax7's
SL - TungSOl 12ax7's or EH 12ax7s. I'm gonna move to EH 12ax7's in this to give it a warmer tone. The Tungsols sound awesome though. Tried a Chinese 12ax7a, and it got grainy and a bit harsh. Not the way a JTM45 is supposed to sound .
