I heard, the OLD boss CE-1 is what's inside the JC120, but I don't have a source. Plus, those are EXPENSIVE as hell.

I've owned a BOSS CE3 and a CH1.

Neither one sounds like the JC120.

I just sold my CE-1 i had since the 80's....got 400 bucks for it! MXR Stereo Chorus is not bad at a decent price.

I have been on the hunt for a decent chorus pedal forever and finally settled for the deluxe memory man. The cost is alittle high and its kinda big but its also a delay unit and sounds great.

Check out Digitech CF7. I don't know if it sounds anything like JC120 but Olaf recommended it to Ralph and Ralph also loved it. I'm not sure if it was that way or the other way around but those guys have a good taste in tone so I could recommend that pedal although I've never played one myself.

I sold a dimension pedal from the 80s for around $250 and that had a huge sounding chorus effect.

The new Digitech Chorus pedal sounds great.

There are samples on the website, I believe there is a very rich 80s setting.

I'm thinking "The Cure - Pictures of You" meets "Deftones - Be Quiet and Drive"

slow, wide, digital sounding, sterile, watery, cool, etc.

none of this warm, dirty analog shit.
