I am buying a Herbert and I wanted to know what DIEZEL cab I should get (4x12).

I play everthing from light jazz to crushing metal.

I choose the frontloaded V30 cab and no regrets here. I don't play jazz but I can't see why it shouldn't work ;)

i have the New FL cab...super!! had the new RL cab also...its stellar also. Little looser sounding than the FL. either way u are set!

Frontload for me. And congrats on the Herbie very versitile amp. Everybody always thinks metal when they hear Herbie but it does way more than that and it does it Well.

So most of you like the frontloaded with the V30's?

Any reason to get the rearloaded? Any reason to go G100k's?

Dont forget the hempcones! I use them with my Einstein and I love them!

I recommend Diezel FL412 with V30's all the way  I love it! Anyway I have no experince about G12K100 speakers but I'm pretty sure that they are little too sterile for my taste...

I have a 4x12 FL with 2 V30s and 2 G12K100s.
Absolutely satisfied

Go with a front loaded cab, why you ask? Because they project better and produce a tighter sound where a rear load is a bit darker with more sag in the sound.

As far as speakers, I'd ask if you could order it with an X of V30's and K100's. I have all 100's in mine and am wanting to do the X pattern myself. I wouldn't go all V30's though, K100's are very tight and clear.

A FL suits better the Herbert than a RL for heavier styles.
V30 or GK100 you can't go wrong with both..is only upon your speakers taste.

@RJF: me too going to do the X pattern. ;)

FL G12K100's here...

Neutral, potent, and 3D. Nuff said. No spikes, no grey zones - very powerful and very transparent when delivering the amps true tones and volumes.

I love it.

V.

diezel fl k100... all the way.. i hesitated for so long then heard it... end of story!

The only thing sounding better than the FL K100 with the Herbert, was, when we had a FL K100 and a FL V30 together on the map. :D

Therefor, my choice would be a K100/V30 mix, but i wouldnt go strictly X-pattern - consider mixing them left/right (f.e. left: V30, right K100), so you could also use one speaker-type exclusive (in the Studio for example).
