The EH Small Clone seems pretty nice, and cheap. I have an Arion SCH-1, and recently had my 2nd Choralflange. But that's about it.

What are you guys using and liking?

I LOOOVE the Yamaha CH-10M2. It's cheap, sturdy and sounds better then the Small Clone and SCH-1 IMO. I a/b'd the 3 of them 2 years ago and the Yamaha won hands down :)

I love the arion SCH-1 but IMHO it just does that Landau/ Luke thing and It can't be used for a lot of different application (IMHO)

That said, I recently got a Digitech CF-7 and I am really happy with it. There are a lot of sounds in that box and it won't break the bank!! although its not analog ;)

i just scored a boss ce 5. i haven't had that much of a chance to mess around with it yet 'cause i'm re-doing my pedal board. i did wank around briefly with it. what i liked? i liked that the controls actually did something when you turned them! it could do a nice chimey clean chorus.. and it turned to that warbily slightly out of tune chorus when you you increase the rate knob. i also liked the filter controls. it allows you to cut high and low frequencies which i've found useful in tightening up the focus of the unit. it really helps get rid of some push and allows you to find the sweet spot. all in all it seems like a decent unit.. but i've got to spend more time with it in an actual playing environment to determine how well it cuts.. etc.. so time will tell.

Agreed on the SCH-1. Also, it's a total piece of shit and mine is falling apart rapidly.

The Digitech looks pretty cool...

That's an old one right, not something they currently make?

I have a Jacques Meistersinger and an Ibanez Bimode chorus. Of the two I prefer the Meistersinger as its easier to dial in, both are nice though....

Although I don't use chorus anymore unless I'm recording something that specifically calls for it, Roland CE-1....it's old and uglier than hell, but sounds amazing in stereo. U can also use it like a leslie ( SRV style) with the vibrato feature.

The EH is alright. The old Boss is way up there. Fultone-Choralflange is the best to my ears. The new one also has vibrato. Not cheap.

I've owned the Choralflange twice....want to love it, but it just never sticks for me. Not sure why...

Thanks for all the input guys.

I have the EH Small Clone, very nice pedal, worth checking out.

But if I could have just one it would probably be the old Boss CE-1 stereo chorus pedal....Andy Summers, Dean DeLeo....everyone I here using it makes me think 'now that is a beautiful chorus sound!'

Come over and try my Chorus Factory. I think for the money it's pretty cool.

I have an EH DMM that I never use. I need to break that out sometime... I'm pretty sure it sounds great, right?

Those DMM's are nice, I didn't like the bypass on mine though, it was real strange how it affected my pedal chain. The Volume knob on the pedal worked, even when the pedal was off.

I think my next pedal purchase will be one of Digitech Chorus Factories. I've heard a lot of good stuff about that pedal in particular.

ANY chorus without FET switching so you could true bypass it? I tried the Voodoo Lab analog chorus, but I sold it at a loss the next day. It sounded like a flanger to me. I mean flange is cool if that's what you want, but I wanted a chorus effect. Right now my only option looks like a true bypass looper. I would really like to keep the stage cleaner than that.

Only inexpensive True bypass chorus I can think of off the top of my head is the EH small clone, which is a pretty nice chorus. The Maxon CS-9pro would be another choice, but its pricey.

I've always liked the Voodoo Labs Analog chorus. It's pretty much a one-trick pony but it does that one trick AMAZINGLY well. I actually liked using mine before the preamp instead of in the loop. Made for some nifty Adam Jones-esque effects.

Well, to each his own. I'm not knocking you if you like the Vooodoo Lab unit, I just didn't care for it. My CE-5 sounds fine, but with the FET switching it cannot be modded for true bypass, and I would hate to run a looper for one pedal.
SO it looks like I'll be giving the EHX small clone a whirl.
Unless I win the lottery, then it's a Red Witch Empress!
