Yes i hear great things about these, havent been able to try one yet. I hear the tone knob sets it apart big time. The Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone looks ripe as well, but i've heard via some user review on HCFX that it fails to deliver.

Keeley comp/Anagloman CompROSSors are my fave, real even, phat and juicy sounding.

I would love to try the Telenordia, and believe me, if i had the budget, i would own one. Its just not doable for a layman (lehman? how do you even spell the ___man in "Lehman's (sp?) Terms). It seems like it's the compressor MADE for a Diezel.

FWIW, I love the tone control of the Diamond because I can 'dial' in the amount of 'cut' from this unit. Comparatively speaking I found the Keeley and the Barber to be more subtle - not in a bad way, but in a more boutique way. Since I'm playing a lot of dance/funk stuff :loco: (yes with the Diezels) , the Diamond (coupled with a RMC3) gets that 70's funkiness like no other. Perfect amount of squish without nuking tone. Oh, and the volume control can also act as a boost - but be careful because the compressor will also boost the noise (when accidently changing to channel 2 herb/einst or channel 3/4 VH4) coming from the front end.

Best pedal compressor I've heard is the Keeley. Super transparent and natural.
