What does it mean when ... (Herbert tube fault question)

Hey all,

I bought a noisegate and noticed the following thing:

When I have it in front of the amp and use the highest gate setting, there is still a huge amount of noise like "shhhhhhh", even when the guitar pot is closed, on the distortion channels.

When I put in in the switchable loop and set it on half, the noise is completely gone.

So depending on that, which tubes do I have to change?

(Please dont say "all", money is short this month)
 
Replace V1 for a non microphonic high grade
tube like the 12AX7AC5 HG+ from Ruby Tubes.

By the way: I bought one of your new cabs (fl mixed v30+g12k100), that REALLY made my herbert come to life!
All the flubby bass is gone, it is tight, clear and has enough highs for that dark amp :rock:

Does anybody know where to buy these tubes in Germany?
I visited Ruby Tubes site, but no dealer in Germany listed :no:

thanks for the link, but I am a noob at that.

I dont find a tube named 12AX7AC5 HG+, I guess because peter said for example...
So which one do I have to buy? Sorry, maybe this question sounds silly to you :doh:
 
I am from Germany, as I wrote above ;)

Sorry, but shipping tubes from us to here is a little bit expensive :no:
