I'm talking to someone about a Diezel cabinet, and they said they weren't sure what the speakers were called, but are stock Eminence. I thought Diezel cabinets were Vintage 30 loaded, and the current listings on the website confirm it. Were Eminence speakers used in older cabinets, and if so, what were they?

Pretty sure that's a Salwender cab. Those speakers were custom made specifically for the cabs and apparently not licensed by diezel. I'm pretty sure that it's safe to say that the consensus is that they're not that great compared to what they have now.

Where do you get your consensus, and what group of mitigating circumstances of minority objections do you determine your typical gaseous matter in the accretion disc?

I'm not familiar with Salwender. I guess I will pass on this cabinet since I grabbed a VHT Fatbottom yesterday.

i have vht fatbottom 4X12 and is good but not my sound
bass and mid bass is too tight for me...now. in my old amp was excellent
today i recided 2 delta pro 12 a and between 2 days i will reach 2 legend 1218
I decided that I will experiment with several speakers taking the cash VHT

Can't praise delta pro enough, But I just switched to g12-65's, and I LOVE'EM! I'd try a mix of those two, Delta Pros and 65's. I got two of each, just waiting on a 4x12 of my liking to try it out. I might build one but just haven't had enough time. I'm 2 65's in 2x12 right now. A lot of guys use the 65 mixed w/ V30's in x pattern too.

Salwender built the diesel USA cabs before diesel had their own production. Now diesel build their own new design cabinets.

The un licensed comment above refers to the fact that the manufacturer of the salwender cabs continued to sell the designs after diezel ended their business relationship.

I know this as I have one of the unlicensed cabinets. Made by the same guy out of the same stuff to the same specs. It is identical except that the grill cloth is a different color and the cab had no diezel logo on the front and no diezel sticker or red plastic nut on the jack plate. Otherwise they are the same cabinet. It rocks too, I loaded a k100 and electric lightning into it.

The salwender cabs had custom diezel eminence speakers. The newer German made cabs have v30, k100, and hempcones.

I never claimed that I had scientific or legal due process. We're talking about opinions or preferences about tone. I didn't realize there would be someone here to pick apart my wording over a post regarding guitar speaker selection. Where I'm from 'consensus' is used loosely when it doesn't involve legal process. Perhaps had I said 'the general consensus around here seems to be:" it would have been a better choice of wording, but really theres no need for your condescending tone.

LOL! I have to back up "slyvren," the forum should be considered that user posts are from experience or opinion.

I bought a Salwender built diesel USA cab and yes the speakers were Eminence speakers. The speakers SUCKED!!

I have these speakers in a Diezel 2x12 and I would say they do not suck! They have a rolled off high end but they really can pump and handle the bottom end very well. For my tastes they were certainly better than a lot of other speakers I've heard, including some hempcones I tried which could not nearly handle the bottom end and high volumes like the Eminance.
If you like a rounder tone without a biting top end these ,may be good for some. I put V30's in my other 2x12 cab and together they sound huge w/huge defined bottom.

Agreed. Worst speakers I ever heard. seriously. The cab is nice, just swap in v30s and you'll have a nice cab.

i have finally put the 2 "delta pro 12a" and 2 "legend 1218" in my cabinet
good mid good bass good high  hot ;)

I actually just picked up one of these cabs and have to say I am digging it. There is a lot of clarity and crunch but it is a little darker than my other cabs which is not necessarily a bad thing
