What happens if I do this....... (Egnater MOD50 Question)

So to follow up a question I posted a few days ago on using an FX loop...... Here are the relevant facts:

1.) I am thinking of moving my delay, reverb and tremolo pedals from running them into the front of my amp to running them through the FX loop.
2.) My main live amp is currently an Egnater MOD50. It's loop is designed for line level effects processors, not instrument level stomp boxes. For this very reason, Bruce Egnater created a level shifter to run in the effects loop of the amp if you want to use stomp boxes in the loop.
3.) I would prefer to not have to buy the level shifter discussed in (2.) above.
4.) I am thinking of replacing my Boss DD-3 with a T-Rex Reptile 2 delay. Why?.....Because (a) it has tap tempo, (b) it has modulation and, most importantly, (c) it has an input trim/level control.

So here's the real question.....

If I place the T-Rex Reptile 2 as the first stomp in my FX Loop's signal chain, I can presumably dial down the input level from the FX Loop Send to appropriately match the instrument level input the pedal really desires. I assume this will lower the output level coming out of my pedals from line level to instrument level. That would mean my FX Loop is 'sending' line level and 'receiving' instrument level. Is this an issue? I imagine it will make me have to run my amp's Master Volume higher, as the effect will basically be a de facto attenuation of the signal? Is this the case? Are there any other potentially unwanted or negative consequences of running the loop this way?

Thanks!

IDK I had the gadget etc sold it all for my kid and a lil extra cash sounded great but was pissed I had to buy the loop gadget.. I mean seriously an american made amp with only line level???Renegade has both ..lol

Man, just get a TC Gmajor 2 and be done with it :)

Nope. Want to use pedals. My PVR is enough programming for me!

Honestly, take the time to try with your amp in a shop.
I personnaly have a T-Rex Reptile 1 and even with the input/trim at the minimum, the loop is too loud for it!!!
Maybe it is not the same with the second version BUT you MUST try wiyh your amp.

the fact is it depends from pedals... my Maxon chorus and my other delay works great without the loop gadget....

Thanks. I think I'll just have to get a loop gadget.

He did. And he sold it.

For info, I've bought a Malekko delay. There is no issue with it.
The loop gadget won't be a loss because you will be able to use any pedals without thinking about there level
