OK Guys here is my update, About a year and a half ago, I played thru Jon Shaffers Diezel Herbert. It was my first Diezel experience, beyond blown away, everything I played thru thru that head, sounded better that anything I had ever played thru or heard. We all know it is in a class all its own, mean, authoratative, and most powerful, at any level as well mind you. I didnt think at that point that it could get any better for me. I have had this head now for almost 15 months, Jon had it for a month or two before that, the tubes still sound as good as the first day I heard it. It has blown me away with such joy every time I play thru it. I have never been so inspired in my life, and everyone who hears it, knows and understands it is something special. In the last few months, I have been working in a new great piece into my rig, that believe it or not, enhances what I have already thought was the final cats meow, so to speak.
The addition is the ISP Vector SL Subwoofer, which is a powered 15". What I do, is come out of the Herberts speaker out jack, into the SL. The SL then crosses over the bass frequencies, and sends them to a 600watt amp inside the SL cab, and on to the 15" Eminence sub. The other frequencies with the bass removed(mids and highs) are fed out of the SL Speaker out jack. This jack is where I plug my Uberkab in. What this does sounds so amazing. It gives me the capabilities to go down to about 45hz. There is a volume level control on the subs back panel, which can be set to subtle all the way up to obnoxious pounding. But very very tight. It has taken me a while to re dial my Herbert head thru this setup. The SL sub sounds great with all 3 channels. I ended up buying a second SL Sub on Ebay, and our bands other guitarist is playing it with a Bogner Uberschall, so we have such a full sound. I had both subs modded with a XLR jack added, so we can feed that lowend out front to the PA at a couple of places that are capable. Just wanted to let you all know that Herbert has changed my musical drive playing wise, and now I have a even full guitar tone that covers the whole range with clarity, edge, and a whomp factor beyond belief. I just want to say again to Peter, Thanks so much for making this kicka** monster amp. Also Buck from ISP, he has helped me to unleash a live tone that is uncompareable to anything from anyone in this area. I cant wait to Unleash my own Fury. Below is a pic of the sub
