Any vendors (other than Cameron) or others know, or use it? Apparently, you call FedEX for a pick up and the shipper don't have to be there and they take it without any shipping labels or shipping information. The package is taken to the local center and awaits the shipper to forward shipping information for onward shipment.

Never heard of it. Not sure why one would want to do this. But, I can see all sorts of less than desirable shit happening with my gear.

:gethim: :uzi: :poke:

Call tag is when something is sent to you, then a call tag is sent to pick it back up. They will come back and pick up what was dropped off.

It's a self adhesive Fedex label with instructions on it for return shipping.
I deal with these all the time, it's easy, you'll see...

It means, typically, prior to anyone world wide receiving an item of musical gear, general high end gear related to guitar, that the recipient and/or pending recipient ought to make a call to Tag. This is because Tag knows tone. And even before you turn your amp on, or tune your new musical instrument, calling Tag in advance is required so that he can tell you what to expect, and why you should have bought a Dumble instead.

Call Tag. Tag knows tone.

This is when a company authorizes a return. You will receive an email from FedEx with a link to a page where you can print out your shipping label.
Your package will be accepted by the FedEx driver at any FedEx pickup location, be it at your work or wherever.
Make sure you can differentiate between FedEx Ground and FedEx Express and to which service your call tag has been issued, as these are two different couriers within the FedEx system. Ground couriers cannot receive Express shipments and vice versa. If your shipment is International, there will be additional documents to print and attach to your package.

There are different versions of call tags, Steve. Some are a returned item, some are to pickup a package from someone else. I just did one for a 72 slant cab I bought that was in Nor Cal. Seller had it packed, Fedex went to his place to pick it up with a call tag, which generally has a complete Fedex tracking # associated with it.
