Last I was shopping for tubes, there was a shortage and scarcity that they were going the way of the dodo. I then read something about an American company taking up the cause and delving into the production game. I thought it was a big name like Westinghouse or something. Was there any truth to that, or was that just a wet dream I had?

Also any recommendations on places to get tubes? I only know the old ones I've always went to, Doug's, Tube Depot, or Eurotubes. I guess Laura is out of the tube business at this point, or I would have went to her.

Western Electric had some press about it and sent out a survey at one point asking what kinds of tubes people would be interested in the during the tube shortages from a year or 2 ago. I thought I read something about them trying for 12ax7s first, but haven't heard much since last year.

I've been using Tube Depot ........ Eurotubes was my go to for a while .... but they've got more expensive than Tube Depot on some of the JJ's I tend to use

Hey bro - feel free to post something like this in the main forum - you will get more advice

But yeah, we had a few threads on Western Electric. May not answer your current question I guess but they could probably use a good bump.

JJ, russia, and china are making tubes as fast as they can, but not screening for quality as much. The shuagang plant has reopened. Tubes are out there, just be prepared to buy extras since they may not last long.

Laura was the Valve Queen fo sho.
Last we spoke she and her husband had a 'Pumping Iron" business.

thanks guys. guess we'll just have to see if things turn around globally. It might be a small market, but it's a dedicated one.

Like fitness business? I don’t quite get it, even though I know the movie very well.
There are a lot of small private owned "fitness" gyms in the US. They are all over the place. Not training gyms, but buildings full of Peloton machines.
