I've been listening to this lately, and just can't get enough of the tone. Looks like the guys in the band are using 5150's. Maybe a good high cut filter after the EG5 could get me there. Any ideas?

I honestly dont think there anything that sounds that close to that. It sounds very Diezel to me. The closest would be EG5 but you may need to hit it in the front with an OD pedal.

You could take an EG5 and add in a high-cut cap on the tube board to darken it up.

Never done it, but it might yield a cool result.

You could also mess with the tonestack midrange resistor to get more/less mids, and try out some different values for the BassBoost caps.

But like Matt said, stock, I don't know what module would do that tone...

1000pF cap on the tube board gives great results on the EG5. Love it on mine. I think it gets close to that sound, although the built ins on this laptop are probably not the best for listening.

Where do you guys get your pieces parts? Caps, Resistors, Etc? I've (basic) amp modding before, but it was (way) back in high school, when I was too stupid to really know what I was doing, and I don't remember what exactly I should be looking for as far as Cap types and brands.

I have a 390pF cap on the tube bard on my EG5, which really does yeild GREAT results. I think it will get close to that sound also!!!! :) Thanks for the heads up on that muudrock. Very glad I did it. With the orange drops nick did...and the 390pF cap on the tube board...dayum...it's awesome! :)

I've gotten my parts from thetubestore.com when I've ordered tubes from them.

Mouser electronics is a good place to get caps, resistors, and other electronic doo dads.
Small Bear is a good place but a little more expensive usually.

I've ordered from mouser before, but geez, I hate sifting through the thousands of search results just to find one capacitor. They do have good prices though.

I've had very good luck buying from them. Can't complain at all. They've had my business for about 8 years or so I think now.

Washburn guitars, Peavey amps and drop B or C# tunings.

Dimebag used a solid state amp and furman eq's to get his heavy sound.

Maybe the EG5 with the gain back and use a dist. pedal and Eq pedal in the loop.

Demon hunter use Peavey 6505 amps, and Z Route 66 amps. Although they have a very Produced sound, alot of "studio" in there :) So it would be hard to match up with a single amp. If you can find a Module comparable to the 6505 i'd say thats your best bet.
