What is the ohm rating on the cab?? I'm assuming it's 16 ohm........pretty standard for a 412. It that's the case, run the head at 16 as well.

If you run another 16 ohm cab at the same time, then you'd run the head at 8 ohm.

Matching is the best when talking tube amps.

The cab can run either 4/8/ or 16 ,Same as the head. The cab has built in detection for whatever ohms your running.Just wondering if there's any advantage/disadvantage to running it at any of the settings.

Well your 8 ohm load is stereo I'm guessing though, so you'd only be running two speakers.

Just give it a try at 4 ohm and 16 ohm and see which you like better. There usually is a difference so just rock it out and see!!
