well it sure isn`t modded on the headshell or front control panel now is it. try in the chassis / electronics /guts etc. did ya kno that a $500 dollar mod may require $22.75 in parts

According to the marshall forum, he uses a stock dsl on a broken clean, and uses pedals for his tones.

do you really think any of the marshall endorsers amps are stock. maybe maybe not 
dont worry yourself . why would you think he had custom pickups in his guitar? they could be stock they might not be. if you were in his position to get about anything you want done equipment wise/what would you do? later oh about the amp .just listen
