Usually none, but I like using a Moog and midi bass pedals to double some slower bass lines.

For my Jazz bass I use a diamond bass compressor. For my MM sterling 5 string, I just plug straight in. Never used many effects on bass.

Dunlop Bass Wah is fun on occasion
Maybe some OD
But generally nothing...except a 4.23 clean boost or fullttone Bassdrive to make it lively
