mine has a # of 002/017 (off the top of my head. could be wrong about the first #, but i def. remember that the 2nd # is a low #)

is the 2nd part of the fraction the actual # off the production line?

whats w/the first # (002) ?
i've searched this forum to find Einstein serial # translations, but there are none.

I believe 01, 02, 03 equate to whether it is a combo, 50w or 100w version. Not sure how they match up though. The second number is productin sequence.

002 = Einstein 50
003 = Einstein 100
004 = Einstein Combo

002/017 is the very first batch of Einstein 50

Very cool!

yeah, Stefan signed tiny Einy out.

Heres a question for Peter:
It came with a two button footswitch, C & M; very basic looking, but super-solid. The cable affixed to it had broken already! It had started becoming very touchy - the slightest movement would cause a break in the cable to select Master 2, but it wouldnt engage.

picture wiggling the cable and having Master 2 switch on and off at the rate one would move the break.

Now, is this covered under any sort of warranty? I was going to install a 1/4'' TRS jack on the channel selector so i can unplug the cable during transit and etc. I opened the box up and snipped the cable, but before i drilled the chassis out, I just wanted to make sure Senor Diezel was unable to assist.

Why don't you offer a footswitch that is independent of the cable? I foresaw this problem happening when I bought the amp. I use Einstein all the time, and the switch gets packed up just as much as the amp. Currently I am using a Vox footswitch, and it feels like I am stepping on a toy compared to the OG switch. Its ironic though; the heavy-duty one broke way faster. :confused:
