Any try one? Thoughts? How much do their heads cost? clips?

Member of the new Egnater line that will sell only at Guitar Centre.

Made overseas but to Bruce's very exact specifications and will be inspected by Bruce when they ship to California.

Not sure on price but there are rumors floating around, somewhere around $1499, I THINK.

Info about the amp itself is on the Egnater amps site.

I wouldn't say many people have tried them as they're not publicly available yet.

So they're made in China or something? I'm guessing that'll kill any resale. But if they sound good...

I don't know where they're made but they're not hand-built by Bruce, Frank, and Jeff like the Mod50, Mod100, M4, etc. With that said, if they're getting Bruce's seal of approval, you KNOW they:

a.) sound good
b.) will be built well
c.) built with great components

Mod50 2k
Mod100 3k
M4 not entirely sure, but I think it's about 2k or a little less.

All come loaded with the appropriate number of modules.

I'm hoping one of the Egnater guys can give us some more info on these Tourmaster amps. I would love to hear some clips. I wonder if the amps are capable of tight high gain. With the power grid thing they have got to be bedroom friendly amps.

I highly doubt Bruce will be inspecting every Tourmaster since he doesnt live in CA, but from what I understand hes been inspecting them in the beginning to ensure there is a process in place to produce them consistently to his specs.

Someone on here claimed they talked to someone at GC who said $1399, but theres no confirmation from Egnater yet.

Im sure they will sound good. They arent going to jeopardize the Egnater reputation and these GC amps are a big opportunity to get the name out there. If they are ~$1399, built reliably to Bruce's specs, using his selected components, they are going to destroy the Marshalls, Mesas, and Line 6s that are currently in GC.

Of course it does high gain: "Overdrive 2: The Tourmaster’s most intense channel, you’ll find ferocious gain with a wide range of tones to suit the ‘80s shredder as well as the heaviest modern metal player. Scoop the mids with the powerful CONTOUR control for massive crunch or push the midrange for a solo tone that cuts through with serious authority."

^^ Exactly what you said. I didn't mean he'd be flying to California every 3 weeks to inspect amps! :D I think he'll just be checking the first shipments to make sure that the amps are done the way he wants them.

Obviously not having played one yet, I can almost guarantee that this thing will slay the Marshall JVM. I had a JVM for a while and it's ok, but my Mod 50 blows it away. I think this amp is going to sell quite well.

They look nice, but I would go for the MOD series if you can afford because then you know it is hand made and you can always change modules. Plus, I love the weight and convenience of the MOD 50. It is all I need. Heck, I could easily cover a cover gig with the MOD 50...

What's up everyone here at Egnater. The amps arrived today at a few Guitar Centers and are bad ass! (For those in LA stop by our Pico and Westwood location to see mine) The prices as I remember are $1599 for the 2x12 combo, $1399 for the head and $699 for the 4x12 cab. They are made overseas and I'm sure hardcore guys will question this but all I can say is crank one. The website gives all of the info but what I do want to say is that they are VERY responsive. Anyway, pm me if you have any questions.

Hey John, whats up man?Did you happen to see the REBEL?

Rebel wont be in stores till first of year I believe. Will have definative answer when Bruce gets back on Tuesday from Cali!

Wow, awesome sounding amp........of course I'm not surprised at all!!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but a friend of mine that lives in Hollywood tried the Tourmaster and was not impressed. According to him they sound nothing like the Mod 50 or 100. I trust his opinion, as I played in a couple of bands with him when I lived in California. He, like me is a bit of a tone snob...snubbing Marshalls and Fenders and liking only high end amps. That being said, I'm suprised at his evaluation of the Tourmaster, as I liked the Rocktron TOL amps almost as much as the Egnaters, and also find the Randall amps to sound pretty good.

If the price of the head is 1399, I say save 600 and get a Mod 50! Best amp I have ever had!

You didn't think that video sounded good? Interesting. I love my Mod but I think that demo sounded really good. Guess we all hear things differently.
