What's this Mesa Dual Rec worth?

Found this Dual Rec locally. Prior to this one, I thought all chrome faced dual recs were 90s era/2 channel, but this one is a 3 channel version which leads me to believe it's from the 2000s/pre multiwatt.

1. What is a fair price for one of these?
2. Do these sound good?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Wow, I've also never seen a chrome face 3 channel before. I googled a little, there's a clip of one on youtube, not sure if it's the same one.

I see 3ch rectifiers all the time for $1100-1500 based on condition. I have one and personally I think it sounds sick, but I prefer the 2ch Rev G by a very small margin.

It might be worth a little more for the chrome chassis, I assume that was a custom option of some kind, how much that is worth to you is all a matter of personal opinion, since it'll sound and play the same as a cheaper black chassis one.

I have one of these actually. The 3 channel chromed out ones. I purchased for 1800. I also had a local one near me sell for about 2k. I think they did a limited run of these in 2009-2010. I'm sure others made there way out there but that was what I was able to determine. I sent it out for a mod because I liked the look and knew the amp would be a keeper after.

They also basically sound like any 3 channel pre 2010. So it is the typical rectifier sound. It does not have the "different" sound of an earlier revision dual channel.

Thanks for the info. I'll be checking out the amp this weekend. Seller has it listed for 2k. I'll see if I can negotiate on price a little. As long as it's in decent shape, I'll probably pick it up. It's one of the nicest looking Dual Recs in my personal opinion.

Really make sure you like the sound. That look will wear off fast if you don’t love what it sounds like. As much as I love the chrome chassis look, that model of recto is easily my least favorite.

I’m not a rectifier person. Or at least wasn’t. I don’t like the “classic” rectifier sound. But there are some great modders that can really change it up. Also a tc integrated preamp (or any clone variant) can really shape those amps into something special.
