can you guys tell me why this has been on ebay for so many weeks without a taker?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bogner-Ecstasy- ... 7675.l2557

Is it because of the cosmetic issues? Most of that stuff on the front is just tape muck and grease pencil that will come right off.
After a couple weeks i said to hell with it and made an what i thought with a low ball offer of $2550 shipped. He took it. I should get it in a couple weeks but now i am just curious as to why one sold a week earlier for $3500 and no one went on this one.

Any Ideas? It is too late now because i paid but hmmmm.

First off, it's "dirty", has aftermarket screws holding the front grill, footswitch has seen better days.... Second, it's way over priced for the shape it's in. Third, they just aren't that coveted anymore.

Just my .02 cents.

Thanx for the reply man. I appreciate it.

My mindset was dirt can be cleaned off, screws can be replaced, and muck can be cleaned from the footswitch.
Shape really didnt concern me as it will just sit on a shelf in a studio to be used on recordings.

One sold a week before for $3500 plus $100 shipping. of course it was much cleaner.

What do you feel a 100b in the shape listed is worth?

$2500-2600 is probably about right in that condition. They're killer amps. I love my 100B. Also, I believe that one is serial #3.

mmol thanx for the reply. I thought i was coming in a little low ay $2550 based on others i have seen sell. I downloaded those photos and requested more and in looking at them closely i think there is just tape residue on the face plate (Atleast that is what i am hoping haha) The tolex has some marks for sure but like I said i just want it for the tone, plain and simple. Looks are irrelevant to me. i was estimating the value to be around $2800 so i feel pretty good about the $2550. i think once I clean it up and get it right maybe even $3000 value.

As far as the serial number it is dash triangle dash which makes it #20 according to the bogner serial codes.

Interesting history about this particular amp, being once owned by Sylvia Massy. I wonder what tracks it was used for.... we will never know.

Tub Yeah I contacted her and sent her the link, she confirmed it was indeed hers. i cant imagine what records it was used on.

Oops. I missed a zero. It's #30. It would be 20 if the middle symbol were a ^.

You are correct sir, i looked at the triangle no bottom by mistake.

So i got this 100b in the other day for $2550, i had it re tubed and biased and it sounds ridiculous, I have an uberschall and two of my freinds have 101b's and i can say this amp sounds different, better in my opinion than the 101's not leaps and bounds better but just different. I cleaned it up top to bottom, all the stuff on the face came right off and the face looks new, there are a few chips in the tolex but that's it. Not sure why he didnt clean it up himself before he sold it but oh well, it worked in my favor. Here are a couple photos of it all cleaned up.

Thanx guys, yeah i will get a chance to really dive into it this week. I was slammed at my studio all weekend but i cant wait to sit with the amp for a few hours.

nice! i like the "black eye" one black knob in the middle.

i also want to know what super-wood those bookshelves are made out of, to hold up all that amp weight! :)

Plank, i have two of them and I have no idea what wood it is, the shelf was made by a worker at nasa, he didnt want them so he gave them to us. They are perfect for amps, they also are made so well i dont have to bolt them to the wall at all, they just sit there perfectly balanced. solid as a rock haha
