What's with the E2?

Actually I am looking for a preamp to do cleans in conjunction with my Cornford Mk50H head. So I'd be needing an E1 ;)

E2 would be nice though. What's the latest on this one?

From what I understand, the E2 will be part of the new modular line when it starts back up, but they haven't announced when that will be.

Is the E2 for rackmount? Is it just a 2 module version of the M4? I've heard about it, but still not sure what it is exactly...

yes

And I just so happen to have a 1U empty slot in my rack.... too bad it will probably be next year before they're available huh?

It also has a built in preamp switcher. So that if your amp has a series fx/return (or are using another preamp), the E2 switcher can switch between your amps preamp, and the E2, so you an add it to any existing amp or preamp without extra equipment needed.

Totally getting one too. If I combine this with my M4, does that make it an ME6?

My Rm 100 would be 5 channels.the RM 50s would be 4 channels...That would really do it

Hey Roddy,
Actually that would be ...

RM-100 5 slots = 7 channels.
RM 50 4 slots = 6 channels.

More channels. I could just use an E2 and a light rack power amp or a Tweaker.

Yeah, I'm all over this once it comes out. I've been trying to figure out which modules I want next but then I'm also debating which modules will come out of my M4 to make room for the new modules..... not any more....
