What's with the new Herbert Mk 1's around lately?

Musicians Friend and guitar Center are selling new Mk1's for 3799.00. I guess I'm just curious, but why is there all of a sudden old Herbert stock floating around?
 
....unless of course they are mk2's with the wrong picture on the websites. In that case I would have to say WTF? Why are they so cheap? I feel like my MK2 just lost value. I was actually going to sell it to fund a VH4.
 
After sending some emails out to Musicians Friend and Guitar Center...they are Mk2s...just the wrong pictures. I can't believe the Herbert has dropped in value that much.
 
damn, makes me wish I had waited a little bit to pull the trigger on Herbie! coulda saved myself some cash
