I know you're here because most musicians LOVE either dogs &/or cats.

I had three cats, the Manx breed (tai-less cats whos breed originated from the Isle of Mann) I just lost one to Feline Lymphoma last month. Now I have two:

1) Dolyn (Doll-lynn) is the king of the pride. Hes White and Black, fluffy. He weighs 9 1/2 pounds. Hes very outgoing, friendly, playful and smart as can be.
2) Aalin (Aye-lynn) who is tiny, cute and very proceedural. She weighs 7 1/2 pounds. She is a one person kitty. She doesnt come to anyone else but me and I am the only one who can groom her. When I am out of town she will get in the playpen for my wife when need be and that's about it.
3) Macka (Mahch-ka). He is no longer with us. He was a color called "Blue Smoke" and was the most loving and gentle animal I have ever encountered. He was very playful. He weighed about10 pounds and had a giant teddy bear head on a kitties body. His death has left a hole in my life that will never be filled. I have never taken a loved ones death this hard.

The three of them were such a loving playfull little pride. Dolyn and Aaalin are still upset that Macka is gone too.

Life can be hard and we learn to move on together.

This was Macka:

I was just messin' around there @mrmega

Here is one of the only pics I have of my twins many years ago. Lilly and Rosie. Lilly ran away after about a year. It really affected Rosie. Then, after about a year or so, Lilly came back like nothing ever happened. Stayed for the weekend and then took off again, never to be seen again. Rosie has since gone crazy and is on meds. I'm pretty sure she has 'kitty dimentia'

Very pretty Kitties. Im sorry to hear about Lilly and hope Rosie will be ok.

Sorry to hear man. I just put down my best buddy tonight. Large mass in his colon which has spread to abdomen. I’m in shock.

Meet Cinco

Thanks man. I wonder if Cinco had the same as your cat? The vet said large mass in his colon which spread to his abdomen. I started looking through pictures of him. Big mistake.

Macka had Large Cell Lymphoma in his Larynx with a mass in his abdomen and enlarged lymph nodes. Took him to the hospital to treat what we thought was a respiratory issue. A month later, 4 chemo treatments and a lot of roller coaster he was gone.

I look at pictures all the time too. It isn't a mistake. It's what we need to do sometimes. You don't get the love without the pain on the other end.

@mrmega - sorry for your loss of Macka. Makes my original post somewhat insensitive. :(

That's what I get for not actually reading, and jumping at an excuse to post a cat meme, which I'm known to do.

@thenine - sorry for your loss as well.

I didn't think it was insensitive, this post is about our cats and not just the ones we've lost. :)

Cleo has really pretty colors. How long have you had her?

My girlfriend adopted her 10 years ago or so, and Cleo has adopted me the last few 😂

We don't know her actual age but we assume 12-14 at least, because she was fully grown when she was rescued

And she's a tortoiseshell, which is probably why she's a diva

Nice, a fellow Manx owner. I'm wasn't a cat person by nature growing up, but in 1998 my sister got my mom a cat for Mother's Day. We thought it was a bobcat mix since it didn't have a tail, as the mixing of house cats and bobcats tends to happen out here in the sticks. Almost exactly one year to the day later, my mom passed away unexpectedly and I lived in her house for about a year until it sold. With the house, came the cat, and when the house sold she stayed with me. Over time, a girl I was dating mentioned that she was a Manx, and not part bobcat. It made sense, since her mannerisms were textbook Manx.. I just didn't know it. Either way, she was one of the coolest cats I've ever known, and in some way a living part of my mom. She lived to be about 15 years old, and I'm not ashamed to say that I cried like I had lost a child when she passed. Her real name was Manoosh, something my mom came up with but I just called her Squirrel because she loved to chase squirrels through the house windows.

I went cat-less for many years after that, until about four years ago when my wife and I picked up "tha turd". Our current cat. Her real name is Isabella, or Izzy but she gained her nickname because she meaner than $#@&! We got her as a very tiny kitten from my wife's niece, and I think she was a bit feral. She allows my wife and I to love on her, but she won't let anyone else touch her and absolutely terrorizes the grandkids. LOL
