I cant find it on the web

Anyone know?

Im assuming amp lounge, but I have to be honest, I prefer the cabs without them. They dampen the high end too much for my taste.

Same for me.

Would a Tone-Bra for a 10" speaker be a Tiny Tone Trainer Bra?

:hys:

Uh, yeah. Awful joke.

That's my second boob joke on this forum... Once I hit 3, I'm retiring, and moving on to fart jokes.

Eh... we need some senseless humor every now and again :).

Did you remove the tone bra from your cab yourself? Just curious as I will be receiving my cab shortly and although I'm hoping to be completely satisfied with it having the tone bra, you just never know.

Yeah. It's super easy. On the oversized 1x12's, the grillcloth comes off because it is velcroed on. Either take the grillcloth off, or take the speaker out. It's attached with a bolt on a board that is vertical in front of the speaker.

The real question is, can you take it off with one hand?

How much do each run? I was thinking of getting one to compare my speakers without it, with a Weber beam blocker, and with the tone bra.

I found my amp to cut better without the ToneBras. Its probably good for recording where you dont want the center of the cone to be all treble, but you can also deal with that just by listening and moving the mic accordingly.

I dont think its as useful live unless you are using a full stack and have speakers blaring at your ears.

I felt the same w/ the 1x12 oversized cab. For recording, I've never felt it was a big problem mic'ing without one, like Matt said, just move the mic if its too harsh of a tone. I find the sound I like most is straight on right where the cone meets the dust cap. About 65/35, where the 65 part of the mic is over the cone. Gets enough bite off of the dust cap, but the warmth and punch of the cone. I either throw a second mic on that same speaker 45 degrees off of the cone, or just mic a different speaker.

I did a fair amount of recording last night, and was really digging the CL80 and the G12T75 together. So I've been doing more experimenting of speaker changes and recording one mic on each speaker and double tracking that way instead of 2 mic's on one speaker. I'm really enjoying the results of that. Caused me to put a set of Warehouse Vintage 30 clones in my Marshall Mode Four cabinet, replacing 2 of the 4 G12T75's in it. Holy hell, did that sound massive! The low end pump and grind of the G12T75's with that growl of the Vintage 30s. Normally I don't like Vintage 30's, but mixed with others....daaaaaaaamn. I've got a couple of Elite 80's I got off of the bay that I'm gonna try w/ the T75s and the V30s. I think they'll mix better w/ the T75s though. It's a shootout between the V30s and the E80s paired up with the T75s!!! :)

The overall sound had a similar feel to my 2x12 Avatar cabinet w/ G12K100's. The K100's have a bit deeper low, and are a bit tighter of a punch on the low end, dare I say, a bit more "modern" sounding. The T75s and V30s had a bit more "hard rock" vibe that performed well on everything, just not as super punchy as the K100s. If nothing else, I'll probably end up just throwing the E80s in my Mod50 1x12 cabinet, and soon to be made Mojo custom 1x12 made to match my Mod50 in width, tolex, and color.

Sorry, that was a bit off this topic, but I wanted to let that loose :).

Email Frank at the Amp Lounge. He should be able to get you a price on this along with availability.
