Hey, guys. Ended up picking up a MM just for the heck of it.

Currently use
ceramic nailbomb in horizon - drop A
ceramic warpig in horizon - drop C
ceramic warpig in horizon - drop D
rebel yell - esp les paul - drop D

These pretty much cover everything I need.

I've got another Edwards LP laying around and a camo ESP MII. One is gonna get the MM, the other JB. The question is where to put which so have something worthy having around the axes I currently use. I'm looking for something like Evanescence type of sound from it.

I agree with V. the Edwards. I think the alder body of the ESP would be a good fit with the JB. I may be wrong and the ESP may not be alder, but if it is the JB works really well in Alder body guitars IMHO. Also the MM will be great in a Les Paul style guitar, it will sound excellent

Evanesence tend to use jackson and esp super strat style guitars with emgs. Seeing as how the miracle man is suppose to be a good replacement for emg players who want a more organic tone I would think that would be the way to go.

But the two couldn't be further apart from the actual design and operability. MM is still a ceramic magnet based, hot wired pup. The EMG's are preamp active. I think being preamp active, the EMG's are less influenced by the woods they're in than a true passive pup. That's only my opinion though, and I guess ultimately, they could be tried in both guitars.

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna go with Nick's advice first. I used to have EMG81s in it before, which were pretty good, I just wanted something a little more open.

Do you know what amps they are on? Sounds like rectifier has something to do with it.

Seriously man they used line 6 heads, the ones with the chrome face...HD300? Might have been the recto preset. I played a show with John(i think his name is, dark haired one) and his band Mouringside at time he tried to get off the ground and that was seriously his set up. Nice ass ESP's through that horrid amp...wasn't a good sound live. Ben Moody used the same amps he said. But I dont think either of those dudes are in that band anymore now though... are they? Haha, I dont keep up on them that much. So yeah, I'm basing this off info from a few years back.

Later dude,

here is what I found

I use Ibanez guitars. In the studio, I kind of use a similar setup to what I used on the last Cold record I did, which is mix up the amps and combine the sound together. It’s a Diezel and a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier and mixed that for one side. Then I took a Bogner and a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier on the other side. I combined it and made one big wall of metal!

Looks like my ears are still working. :D

Big wall of metal my ass!

Don't take Nick's advice he doesn't know what he's talking about. Install it in my guitar!
