Like the title says, where is the best (cheap and reliable) place online to order Mogami cable and Switchcraft or Neutrik connectors in bulk? Thanks.

I haven't ordered from them (yet), but redco.com comes highly regarded.

Redco.

Wired my whole rack and board with Mogami cable and Amphenol and Neutrik connectors for just around $200. And I don't exactly have a small amount of shit in my rack haha

Roughly, how much cheaper is it to buy bulk Mogami cable and Switchcraft connectors than it is to purchase the premade Mogami cables? That's what I use currently, but it's pricy. I could stand to save a few bucks and do it myself.

Tons. I paid $65 for enough instrument cable and Neutrik connectors to get two 15 foot runs and 5 12" each patch cables out of, and I ended up with better connectors than those that come retail. Retail, all of this would have easily cost upwards of $200.

Hot damn, that's quite a savings. I'll have to check out Redco next time I'm looking for cables, which may be soon since I've got gear coming in (as always, haha).

Thanks for the tip!

Big + 1 for Redco.

Great prices and great service! Mogami 2319 is only 40c a foot at Redco, about 80c a foot for the other Mogami cable too.

Redco AND Best-Tronics...

I used both when I bought the cable and connectors to wire my rack. I have a scribbled note here on my desk - looks like I paid $3.08 each for Switchcraft #226 connectors and $1.77 each for Switchcraft #280 connectors at Best-Tronics. I paid $0.34/foot for Mogami #W2319 cable at Redco. (This was all for my pedal tray and GCX jumpers). If memory serves, I bought the connectors at Best-Tronics because they were cheaper than the same thing at Redco and I was buying a shit-load of them so it was enough savings to justify the additional shipping costs...

Making your own is the only way to go.

Ive posted this YT before but its a good vid for anyone looking to build their own...

Cable baskets can offer your business a variety of different benefits. If you want to lift up your data cable products and protect them from damage, invest in the right wiring trays and learn how to install them right.cable tray

Man, Redco ain't no joke. But here's the thing for me right now..

So here I am at the checkout section of their website with 30' of instrument cable in my cart. Problem is, I intended to order two 15' cables, but it ended up getting all bundled into a single order. So my question is, how do I establish the idea that I'm after two 15' cables and NOT thirty 1' cables?

Ah.. I guess this is where the "Order Comments and Special Requests" section comes in handy, eh?

If your just ordering cable, and you want a total of 30', you will likely get 1 30' cable to cut as you wish.
