So, I get a Diezel Einstein in a trade about a month ago. It arrives in amazing shape, packed very well.. etc.

Fire it up... it sounds phenomenal. But, theres one issue. I cant seem to access the lead channel!! I feel like such an idiot. I plugged in the footswitch, tried every possible option, etc... nothing. The channel 2 light comes on, but, Ive tried every volume knob and I get nothing. What am I doing wrong?? Could this be the reason that the guy I traded with was willing to take a hit in the pocket to get rid of it?? ha

Help!

-which midi footswitch?
-absolutly no sound comes out from the cabinet?

Maybe a preamp tube..but i can be wrong:

Einstein:

V1 Used by both channels

V2 Used by channel 2

V3 Used by both channels

V4 Mixer & Loop Driver

V5 Return Driver

V6 Phase Inverter

V7 (just combo) Reverb (12AT7)

Someone more tech than me can say if changing only v2 can solve.

Hi

the Einstein dont have Midi ;)

@ bulletthebluesky:
check the Preamptubes: replace (for testing only) the V2 and V3 with V4 and V5
woks it now ? now you know its time to put some new Tubes in that amp.
works it not ? birng your Einey to a tech and let it check.

bye Robi

I had the same thing happen with my herby my tech that I always goto put some new preamp tubes in and did not push one of them in the whole way can't remember which, but channel 2 was completely dead it was one of the first three in line v1,v2,v3. I found it and everything is fine.
