Which cab for my uberschall?

Hi,

I tried today a few cabs with my uberschall, an ENGL straight and slanted cabs loaded
with V60's and an orange 2X12 and 4X12 loaded with V30's.

I wasnt impressed from how it sounded with the ENGL and the orange 2X12 but the 4X12
sounded quiet good, had alot more bass and sounded bigger and clearer.

Still though, it didnt sound as good as I hoped it to sound, I do like the sound
and I really feel that the bogner is the amp for me, but the cabs didnt compliment him
that good to my opinion.

Any recommended cabs for bogner aside of the ubercab?

i have a mesa recto 4x12 and i really like it with my twinjet if you dont like the highs of mesa you can also try orange 4x12, my second guitarist have it and it is a really good cab, however i never tryied it with my uber since i am really happy with the mase cab.

wow, what dont you like about the uberkab? its my favorite with the uber (my rev 2 at least). i ran mine through an oversized mesa 4x12 recto cab for a couple of years, and it sounded great too. i think it might have a little more low end than the uberkab (with the uber, anyway), but the recto cab didnt seem to have the fuller mids and cutting highs that the uberkab has.

Never heard an ubercab, I just live in Israel and there's no bogner dealer here.

IMO, the Uberkab is a no-brainer with it. If you can't get one...what else is available there?

Orange, mesa, peavey, carvin, rivera, dr.z, Engl and that's it pretty much..

when i had my twin jet i owned a rear loaded ubercab and the oversized 2x12 (which i still have)..... i also played it through a few other cabs and tried it with the newer front loaded uber cabs

IMO i think the twin jet was meant to be played with the newer front loaded ubercabs, that cabinet is amazing, it really unleashes the character and volume of that amp

besides that front loaded cab i really liked it alot with my oversized 2x12 bogner cab with v30s it sounded so rich and woody

i wasnt crazy about the rear loaded ubercabs with the twin jet so if you get an ubercab make sure its a front loaded one

Out of those a Mesa would match well, or an Orange for more of a woody tone similar to the Bogner cabs. Still, if you can order something, you'd probably do better still...but, of course shipping would probably cost a mint.

I can send you a Mesa from Saudi to Israel. That would go over like a turd in the punchbowl!

Good luck. And, yes - a Mesa Recto cab sounds great with an Uberschall. I used one for quite some time when I had the old Uber.
