Im looking to upgrade my rig. I currently have a Mesa Recto Oversized 412 w/ v30s. I just bought a practically new custom Splawn Nitro with kt88's i could not pass on (only 1300!).

Anyways, i'm just wondering what 412 cab you guys would think sounds best for metal / rock music. I'm leaning towards Bogner with 2 v30's and 2 h30's right now.. but am not sure if its gonna have the balls for breakdown chuggas.

Figured you diezel guys would know best.

Voice your opinions!

Hi

This also depends on which amp you use. For example my Orange 4x12 sucks enormous with my Diezel Herbert IMO. Even a plain Marshall sounds better with the Herbert. I tried also Engl and Hiwatt. Also the same results.

But I don't think the Orange is a bad cabinet in general. It depends on the amp with which it is used...

for a Splawn Nitro? How bout a Splawn Cabinet. They are really great. i have one ill sell ya...hint hint...LOL

The Bogner isnt too shabby either

Thanks dudes!

Splawn cab would be my first choice actually, but id have to bend over for shipping and stuff as im in Toronto. Definately impossible to find those in my area!

I can grab a Bogner cab for around $850 used -- and id be able to sell my Mesa cab for $700 most likely. $850 good for a used Bog?
