im searching for a delay and reverb for months.

im playing a diezel einstein with a 4x12 marshall cab g12h30 and primary an edwards jimmy page, my esp sounds to bad on cleans....

had the chance to play the line 6 dl 4, the tc electronics nova delay and the boss dd-7.

ive heard many times, and even here, that the tc electronics nova delay and reverb sound cold steril and influence the tone. on the other hand ive heard that the line dl 4 really really often breaks....

what i like about the dl4: 3 presets which is pretty important, nova has only one. and the nova isnt the most ergonomic pedal ive tested. pretty interlaced.

so diezel users,whats your experience?
i once had an boss gt 6 and is was awful, im puristic and dont want to much stuff infront and between my amp, guitar delay and reverb should do it.

price im trying to achieve : max 400 € for delay and 250 € for reverb

I am currently using a TC M-300 for my delay and reverb usage. I am not finding it to be sterile, although, I have heard that. It could just be me, as I like the effects to be studio quality so that I sound like a recorded guitar while playing live. It's just a tone thing with me.

The M-300 or even the TC G-Sharp, which is a newer unit, designed specifically for guitar usage, has a lot of flexibilty and is simple to use and change sounds with, as there is no internal tweaking on these units. They also go up to 20 K htz so there is no tone loss.

I have watched and listened to the videos of the Nova System and they seem to sound just fine. I believe it really comes down to how well any unit is dialed in to one's personal preferences. After all, there are a lot of people using all of these various units, so the one that is user-friendly and works for you is the one you should stay with. jmho.

I'm using a TC Gmajor in the loop of my Einstein combo. Very happy with the results. Funny thing is I find the built in reverb colors my tone to much on the higher gain settings ? On a clean sound it is beautiful. I experience a consistent reverb with the Gmajor though ?

I'm using a TC G-force in the serial loop of my Herbert. Outstanding flexibility and effects and midi of course :D

Good luck on your quest.....

Check out the Damage Control Glass Nexus, seems to work pretty well to me and the tone loss does not seem too bad.

Eventide Time Factor. I don't think you can run the delay and reverb at the same time, but that is the only downside.

I use an Eventide TimeFactor Delay and a T-Rex Room-Mate for verb. Very warm sounding. Especially with the T-rex at the end of the chain passing the signal though a 12AX7 tube..... It's the best sounding setup I've come across.

thx for your advises. i went with the line 6 dl 4 and the boss rv 5.

lets see if this works for me... i have some bad experiences with stomp boxes.

artists like thrice and steven wilson of porcupine tree both use these units. i love their sound ...
