Hi,

I am new to the board and wanted to drop in and say hello and ask some advice..and who knows maybe even get some advice from Peter Diezel himself!
I am currently thinking of buying a Diezel amp. What I am looking for is max gain, while retaining tightness and a great bottom end. Cleans and light crunch are not really a concern of mine. So with that in mind, welcome me to the board with some good advice. I am thinking the Herbert but would like some advice. I currently own a nice "Brown Sound" boutique amp. I plan to keep it but want a Diezel as well. Thanks in advance for any info....

Sounds like you want the Herbert.

I owned the VH4 and the Herbert......and the Herbert is a Killing machine.
It dont get any heavier then that amp.

Channel 2 has a great "hair metal/Rock" tone as well.
the "+/-" switch makes it versatile.

You cant go wrong on that amp. ;)

Thanks for your reply! That is what I was thinking. I just don't live in an area where I would have the benifit of trying one out. I have to go by word of mouth! Thanks again!!

I'd say Herbert Mark 2 for Metal!

I bought mine "blind" as well.....not hearing in person.....just from clips.

The amp wont disappoint.....

Yep, Sounds like the Herbert is the ticket. It's a fine tuned, German, fire breathing, metal machine. I love mine for metal.

Yep. I've circled the drain and made a full circle, ending up where I started almost. I am feeling a new Herbie in the future to replace the old one. the Herbie is an amp to suit all needs.

Steve

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE COMMENTS. I AM GOING TO BUY A DIEZEL REGARDLESS, BUT SEEING HOW I OWN A UBER, WHICH I LIKE, HOW DOES THE HERBERT COMPARE AS FAR AS GAIN AND TIGHTNESS. THANKS AGAIN :)

Different animals altogether. But if you wanted to mate something with your Uberschall, go with the VH4.

EITHER way, the herbert or the VH4 is going to slay in ways you've never thought possible. Period.

V.

PS - Welcome aboard...we're a bunch of sickos here :rawk:
And this coming from a guy who's owned a Rev.Blue and a TJ...they're gone, the VH4S stayed.

I played a Herbert over the weekend.

Also I play Death Metal.

This amp is the one you want.

WOW!!!! You can feel it in your rib cage when you play it. So brutal, heaviest amp I have ever heard but still super tight and very defined.

Also has a mid cut section that you can tweak to your liking.

If I had the cash this would be my number 1 choice by Far!!
