I have the TWIN - EG3/4 - ERECT - MHG....
But I'm finding the Randall Super V to be the tone that does it for me in one of the projects I'm in...
I NEVER use my MHG, so I'm looking to trade it for an Egnater equivalent that will get a similar tone to the Super V...
I'm guessing the VX would do it..but I want to be sure before I make a trade.
I'm using the Super V with the gain at around 2 or 3 o'clock, so it's got that spanky higher gain with a lot of top end and clarity.
Anybody able to tell me which Egnater equivalent will do the same?

Really?
The EG5?
I thought the EG5 was more like a modified MHG with more top end and headroom??

It is.What does a Super V sound like?

I can make a clip of one, but it can go from a pretty decent clean to a nice jangly distortion, great for pop rock or modern country distortion tones.
