I'm just about ready to tip on a MOD50 but I have a quick
question for ya about which module to get for the clean channel-
Should I go with a BMAN or a T/D? I really want a clean sound
that does'nt clip at all, kind of like ch.1 on the TOL100 head I
have. I usually run the channel with chorus/pitch,delay and maybe
compressor....Think Lukather/Huff/Landau clean sound........ :D

Well the bman will clip very easily..T/D won't clip unless its floored and you are a cement block right hand!

You are totally describing the TD. The B'Man rocks, but I find myself going to it for grittier stuff, and when for cleans, only the type of cleans that may sound clean in the mix, but when solo'ed are grittier than you'd think - like Mark Knopfler, for example. The Landau and Luke stuff is not that gritty by comparison.

You want T/D if you want to go for that pristine 80s chorus'd out clean sound. BMan is not what you want.

I prefer the Twin/Vox (T/V) module for the sound you're looking for - it's a bit chimier than the T/D.

If you want pristine jazzy clean go T/D think "Wind Cries Mary" on the neck pickup.
The B'Man has a warmer clean sound and breaks up easier.

You can get the BMAN to stay clean, although it is very easy to clip and IMO sounds cooler just ever so slightly dirty anyway. T/D sounds like where its at for you.

You definitely want T/D. The BMAN is definitely "dirtier", though yes you can keep it clean, but it's a different kind of clean. For sparkly and pristine, go T/D.
