Hot for a egnater, looking for the sparkly clean thing, a good raunchy blues, and the ty tabor/kings x ogre tones and XV album crunch. Features aside , just looking to get the closest to the above tones-especially Ty's- nice guy to boot-met him after several shows.
One more quest. the newer tourm's that are updated-is that a typed or written "M" and the end of the serial #
Thanks!

I have the Tourmaster- about a year old. Mine has a handwritten M.

Had the 1 X 12 Renegade been available when I was buying I might have gotten that. The Tourmaster is HEAVY! That's the biggest problem with it.

I haven't actually played the Renegade, so I can't speak to the tone. It definitely has some nice features.

The Tourmaster is the ultimate in flexibility and options. If that is what you need, get that. It will probably get the tones you want.

I've had a Tourmaster now for over a year...an all time record for me and an amp...I've owned Two Rocks, Bad Cats, Aikens, ect...the TM is amazing....and I have the non M version...I don't run a lot of bass anyway..the amp is fine...all 4 channels are incredible...channel 1, set up with the modern switch on is an incredible clean...like a cross between a Twin Reverb and a JTM45.....ch 2 is sort of a tweed deluxe...great dirty rhythum channel...ch 3 is an amazing Plexi 50 tone....and ch 4 is Bruce's TOL 3/4 channel....I play in a trio, so I need lots of tones....and a great FX Loop.....I have a smaller pedal board in front of the amp with delay and reverbs on it... on the downside, the HEAD weighs 60 lbs....The combo I think weighs 95 !!.......If you don't need all the versitality of 4 channels, the 35 LB Renegade head would be my choice......It's 2 channels with 2 sets of master volumes, so you're still getting 4 sounds from the footswitch

For the cleaner tone, I was using ch1...The dirtier rhythum stuff is channel 2....The cleaner plexi lead solos is channel 3, and the dirtier real sustainy tone is channel 4....What's really nice about that amp is that I've set up all the channels so that each sound melds together real well, and they all have a similar feel...it's not like playing 4 amps...more like 1 amp with many different tones
