Today i´ve tried just for fun my H&K Tubefactor as a buffer.
It´s guitar, wah, TF, amp.

Guys...this is soundheaven! Amazing, beautiful, awesome! :inlove:

It´s my dreamsound! All channels!

I use a small Road Rage mini buffer, but that is because I am using a passive volume pedal and a wah prior to going to the amp input. The tone recovery is amazing. This buffer works perfectly and allows all the tone to come through.

If I didn't use a volume pedal and wah, I would use no buffer.

I played it with the band yesterday the first time with the "buffer".
AMAZING SOUND!!!

:rawk:

And the device is turned off!

So currently I'm using my guitar into an 18v 535q wah straight in to the Einstein with 10ft of cable each side of the wah. Im guessing a buffer wont be of that much of a good fit for me? Is it worth spending the money on better cables than the whirlwind and planet waves I'm using now?

Do you feel you are losing some highs?

I don't get a lot of tone loss from my wah (Bad Horsie) But I have the EVH pedals, flanger and phaser they suck everything big time...

Guys forget the effects, it´s the cable! No matter what quality you use they suck your highs and clarity. It´s like moving a curtain away.
I tried it without any effects, just my cables. I use Sommer "the spirit" xxl and it is a huge difference with or without a buffer.

In fact I want to kill some of the really high stuff over 3-4Khz. My issue is that to get the amp as present as I like I end up boosting the treble and presence controls and this leads me to hear some really high pitch stuff that my ears arn't liking. My main issue is that I cant figure out what would be the best thing to change, cable, speaker(v30) or tubes. Tis a conundrum to be sure but logic says I should start with tubes or cable since they are by far the cheapest place to start.
