Who had Einstein & VH4 side by side?

After a lot of thinking I've decided to let Uberschall go. I keep my amp heads for recording & every time I end up using my Herbert, so no point to keep 2K head for occasional playing enjoyment.

Now the question is if I'm replacing it with Einstein or VH4. It's very important for it to sound great at low volumes too, like Herbert does, for preproduction & play I record quietly, I have had my ears bleeding enough.

If VH4 is great at low levels I'll just go for it.

I might be interested in buying your Uber. How much, which version?

From what I hear others say and from my limited experience with the VH4 and Herbert in the store, the Herbert is better for lower volumes.

Its actually pretty simple: all of them sound amazing at low volumes. Its just the question if you prefer the bit more compressed VH4 or the more open Einstein seond - and if you need all the features of the VH4.

Get both :D

Thanks man :D

VH4 it is then! I'm thinking Uber, Mesa 2x12, Mesa 1x12 & couple of microphones should do it.

I'm pretty sure I'll get all of them at some point ;)

So how many version of VH4 are there & what's the difference between them?

Blue faced and early grey frontplate models are voiced darker (and if I remember correctly have an addtional ECC). Since the late 90s they are pretty close to each other though.

I had a '97/'98 halfstack which was killer

Why did you get rid of both VH4 AND Einstein?

I sold the VH4 to be able to get Herbie - and the Einstein (much later) to be able to pay off tax "probs".

But I've made two more guys Diezel-happy, you know . . . ;)

Yeah I know....

Do you like the Herbie better then both Einstein and VH4? Why?

I think the vh4 would be a better amp to pair with the Herbert. I owned the Einstein at the same time as my Herbert and thought that the Herbert pretty much had it covered. The Einstein had a little better cleans but i don't use clean anyway.

How much for the Uber? Metal grill or cloth?

Einstein would be for the clean channel mainly, but since I'm a big admirer of Herbert cleans it won't see much use.
VH4 is mainly for channel 3, I hope it will have the nice crunch without cranking it up too loud.

Asking 1900+shipping for the Uber. Cloth-Blue Revision-Mint Condition.
