The use of condenser mics has been growing for years but the vocal harmonizer people have been slow to catch up. I see Voicelive3 has PP but it is also overloaded with guitar effects which is fine if you want to go that way; I already have that base covered. The additional guitar effects on it are just another layer to deal with which I do not want. Any ideas? Thanks!

I use the Voicelive 2 with a Condenser mic, Shure 87, works great for Lead vocals and harmonies

I just found the tc helicon PLAY ACOUSTIC and it has phantom power. Need to find out if it has to have a guitar plugged into it to get the key correct. I prefer to keep the guitar plugged into my Line 6 Stomp.

you'll probably need an instrument sending a signal if you want it to read the keys on the fly, otherwise you can make presets for whatever key you want

Thanks. Now that I have both units and have a good idea how they are to be used for what I'm doing, I'll figure out a way to make it all work. It's not rocket surgery don't ya know. :)
