Hey guys

I spent some time looking through the forum and through the main diezel gallery thread to no avail.

Does anyone know who ownes this rig? I just have some questions about the case and how you like the rig and the routing.

Honest I searched  :aww:   :scared:

Thanks guys!

It might be rareguitar's. I remember seeing an EVH phaser in one of his vids.

I greatly prefer the roadcases that put the head on the bottom, seems like that thing would be so top heavy, not that it much matters since a full 6 space worth of rack would be heavy as well, and the fact that the entire case is short and has a low center of gravity, but still... sorry for the completely off topic reply, I have no idea who's rig that is, but I'm jealous :)

Regarding the "top heavy" issue, I say it is not an issue. I got myself a custom built case for my Herbert with the Herbie on top, + 8U rackspace at the bottom. I debated before doing it, being worried as well about the weight on the top. After calculating the weight of components going into the bottom of the case, it evens out almost exactly with the weight of the Herbie, hence there is actually a pretty good balance over all.
The other thing is that if you put the head on the bottom you have to bend over everytime you want to adjust things, which to me is simply way too impractical (no I don't have a guitar tech lol)

You can see pictures and read about it in my original thread here:

good luck ;)

If the case is correctly build there should be no "top-heavy" issues. I had a case for VH4 + 10U in which VH4 was the one on top. No problems - Except trying to lift it alone

Yeah I've had several different cases over the years and have not tried this config yet, but don't assume there will be any issues.

I prefer to have everything all in one with interfaces readyt o go!
