Besides my boy Wayne? Cracker needs to concentrate on making his killer stuff not repairing my junk. Any suggestions? Thanks! It’s my dod fx65 stereo chorus. Probably well over 30 years old. I was not getting a reading for the input jack and swapped it out and still doesn’t work. Installed another power input jack because the original was gone. Didn’t help. Supposed to be a killer pedal so not sure which way to go here. Honestly probably not worth fooling with. Suggestions?

Well, your boy Ben Waylin does, but I’m guessing not yours. 😂😂

Pete's Pedals repairs pedals. He's cheap too. Charged me $75 to repair two vintage pedals.... both needed op-amps removed from the board, which was tedious work. I was happy with the cost.

with shipping cost and a bench fee .... you're going to surpass the value of the pedal to get it fixed ...

so unless you want to learn how to audio trace using a schematic .... it's a paper weight with a couple of BBD chips that are the same as in a CE-2 ...

and you can't really resell those because they're board mounted .... no socket . you could reuse them ... the two chips sell for about 30 plus shipping ...

a couple of forumites sent me two sets to use in my CE-2 clone .... thats what they paid for them

I don’t mind if it’s something reasonable. But I was thinking what you just said. Not really worth it. Bummer because I really wanted to get one after you said they were pretty killer.

Yes I noticed that too. What would cause that discoloration?

Could be from cleaning solvents or possible ionic residue from no clean flux, etc... It can corrode over time and possible that it's causing current leakage/short. Not saying that's what's happening, though. Also looks like corrosion on the back of c11, possibly? Have you tried cleaning the whole board with some alcohol?
