Why is the Bogner list dead?

So weird, I would expect with the release of the pedal video this place would be going bonkers.

I'm trying do decide whether or not to get an Ecstasy Classic or Metro 12000 or SLO/C3 as backup to my 101b. In any case, I'm going purple headshell because that Friedman rig Brad has is absolutely gorgeous.

Anyway, I'm just trying to jumpstart the list.

When you say "list" you mean like this Bogner subforum?? If so, I remember wondering the same thing myself a couple years ago...that was before I got a Bogner. After I received my Bogner, a 20thA EL34 XTC nonetheless, I realized why this thread is so quiet.

Bogner owners play the shit outta their gear as much as humanly possible. There's really very little that's up for discussion once you plug into the right Bogner for you.

At least this has been my experience.

Peace,
Mo

I think he means the Pre Order list for the Bogner Pedals I have going. We have quite a few guys on the list. I just dont know when Bogner will start shipping but if guys want some of the first pedals the list is here for them.

PM me if you want to be one of the first guys to get a Bogner pedal or anything Bogner for that matter.

Brad

Well could it be that Bogner's are pretty expensive? Not that most of the stuff we gas for isn't. I just picked up a ecstasy classic and man after running it through it's paces at band practice yesterday I have to say WOW. What a great amp. I will have to put the Uberschall through the same test. L orast time I tried the uber at band practice the other guitarist was using a 5150iii and they were kinda in the same sonic footprint. Anyway I am working on a comparison for the MTS crowd of the Ecstasy Classic vs. the Salvation Ecstasy vs. the Sacred Groove XTC LE vs. the stock XTC...

Sounds very interesting, let us know how the comparison goes.

I meant the subforum -- but yes Brad there hasn't been much talk regarding the pedals and the video that Greg V just produced about them was really amazing.

Just figured there'd be some more Boggie Buzz.

Probably a dumb question, but what are these other Ecstasys? I have heard of the 20th, the classic, 100, 101A and B, but none of those. Are they limited editions?

Thanks.

JT

The Ecstasy Classic was basically a 101B with a better clean channel and a little less gain on the blue and red channels. Also, it had a little less compression and a more open sound than the 101B. Bogner killed the Classic when they released the 20th Anniversary, as the 20th Anniversary basically covers most of the same ground as the Classic (except even more still).

The 'Salvation Ecstasy', 'Sacred Groove XTC LE' and 'stock XTC' are all MTS modules, for use with the Egnater and Randall modular amps. They are not made by Bogner and they are not amp heads.

Thanks for the info. I was familiar with all of the production models, but never heard of the others; being that they are modules, that explains it, LOL. Thanks for letting me know.

They are all tube pre-amp modules that go into the Egnater/Randall line of heads and pre-amps. The tube head and tube rt250 power amp accept many different tube options and have external bias points. Plus the ability to mix and match. I run a pair of 6L6's in the outer 2 sockets and a pair of EL34's in the middle 2 sockets. You can get some serious tonal options out of these things. There are lots of guys modding these modules from Dave Freidman to Trace @ Voodoo and the mods are pretty sweet. Some of the guys not only mod but make "replicas" of some of the big builders. Salvation, Sacred Groove and Jaded Faith to name a few. They can get you in the ball park for a lot less than the real deal. Plus if you are at all handy with a soldering iron and some solder you can mod them yourself.

I read the argument about price. I know they're pricey, but then you play one and.....
