Why wouldn't Bogner make a 4 Channel amp?

Just thinking how awesome it could be to have an amp that can cover cleans, dirt and savage
with the bogner tone.

The xtc is pretty close to that but it still misses the Uber channel.
I just see all these Diezels and Rhodes and a few others and thought it could be cool to have
a bogner that flexible.

Do you guys think it has to do with the option it may affect the tone?

I think, from the perspective of a mad genius (namely, Reinhold), he doesn't really give a shit about the number of channels as he does more what the amp can do and do capably whilst maintaining his signature tone. Channel changers are all the rage out there now, really. Hell, all you need is one channel to really make music (think: marshalls of the past, fenders, vox, and actually using the guitar to alter the tone with rollback, etc).

I think for Reinhold - it's less about the channels and more about the scope and breadth. And hey, really, have you SEEN the adjustments available on the 20thA XTC?!?!?!?! For the love of pete - I think I'd shit my pants if another channel was added to that scene TOO MUCH TWEAKAGE!!!!

I agree and hope he will put out an ûber type amp with a shiva like clean one day. Instead of all these metropolis and duendes. But that's just me. I love the high gain of the 20th Shiva though. Real rifined.

YIKES! I can't stand three channel Amps, let alone four! I prefer to keep it simple. Nobody needs 4 channels.
Give me a good single or two channel.
Can not understand why someone would require 4 channels, ever.
A well designed amp can do all you need with one or two.

At a friend's jam session, I used his Mesa Electra Dyne with a few OD pedals, and it sounded better than his Diezel Herbert for hard rock.

No reason with 3 channels all w/boost to have a 4th channel (6 sounds from 3 channels) although i wouldnt have minded if it had a 4th channel. And I am a multi channel guy, I use 5 of the 6 combos available on the XTC at every show with reason. And maybe for some there is no reason for a 3 or 4 channel amp but for me there is so to each his own. The XTC is the best I've tried with all useable tones for all styles of music. I play everything from U2 to SRV, to Zepplin to VH to Ozzy to Metallica thru my XTC and they all sound authentic and great.

Just listened to James lugos old vids man that thing was a beast .Almost sounded like a Souped up / Boosted XTC blue with more upper mid snarl,Throw a shiva clean in there and call it a day.

I don't know if this is totally true. I get the feeling that Reinhold isn't inspired to make hot-rodded, high gain, channel switching monster amps anymore.

His latest releases, and NAMM offerings, have been very vintage inspired, lower gain, low wattage amps - small heads, combos, etc.

So, a 4-channel head is probably the OPPOSITE of what he's looking to build now.
